I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
